| This is
my other entry in the first Reaper Online Painting
Contest. I still wanted a bold color scheme, but this time the complementary colors yellow
and blue fit the bill... I think she's some of my best blending work, especially her
yellow robe, but she didn't quite have the boldness factor of the Jungle Princess ;^) I really enjoyed doing the blending on this figure, though. This was the first time I used blending medium and I still don't know how I ever blended without it! This back shot shows the one detail I painted on her robe: a sunburst design. I lightly pencilled this on the robe with a .5 mm mechanical pencil, and then painted over it with thinned blue paint. I didn't want to go overboard with a lot of details on the robe, hoping the blending would speak for itself. |
